Q. Why does your cleaning price include deoderizor?

A. Germs, bacteria, dustmites, pollins, pet dander, cooking oils and odors get trapped in your carpet, and furnitures fibers. Every time someone in the household gets sick with a cold or flu, the germs get trapped in the fibers. These germs and bacteria can become airborne, and pollute your home. We beleive tt is very important for your health to have your carpets & furnishings deoderized and sanitized.

Q. Why should we have our carpets cleaned every 6 - 18 months?

A. People invest thousands of dollars into new carpets and furniture. Cleaning is protecting your investment from being damaged. The soil that is in your carpets and furniture that your vaccuum can't pull out do to its oily properties causes your carpet to wear and have a dull color and appearance.
What would your kitchen lenolium look like if you did not clean it for 2 years, only sweep it? Your carpet is designed to trap and hide dirt from showing. The dirt is their and must be removed in order to preserve its color, quality & strength.

Q. How long will my carpets take to dry?

A. Your carpets should be dry within 3 - 12 hours after a professional cleaning. If your carpets stay wet from any cleaning for more than 24 hours microbial growth may start to occur.

Q. Why should we spend additional money to have Dupont Teflon Carpet Protector, and or furniture protector applied after cleaning?

A. Carpet and furniture protectors otherwise known as Flourochemicals should be re applied after a cleaning if the professional IICRC certified cleaner finds it to be necessary, in order to allow not only easy clean up of stains but also to make vacuuming easier and more efficient, and your next professional cleaning will also be a greater success.

Q. We just painted will your hoses scratch the paint on corners of our walls?

A. At Smile Carpet & Furniture Cleaning we have gone the extra step to make sure that your property and all valuables are protected in every way possible. We use wall corner, and stair edge protectors so our hoses do not damage baseboards or paint when we pull our hoses.

Q. Do you move the furniture?

A. All furniture that our customers would like to have moved for cleaning behind will be moved by our trained technicians. If you have china cabinets that you want moved they must be emptied for us to move them without damaging any valuables.

Q. Should we vacuum our carpets & furniture before the cleaner arrives?

A. Absolutely vacuumin very thoroughly prior to the cleaning is very important. If you would prefer us to vacuum the carpet for you with our hepa vacuum we will do so for an addition cost to you.

Q. Last time we had our carpets cleaned they seemed to get soiled really quickly. Why?

A. All shampoo contains alkaline. If the cleaning company injects shampoo during the cleaning and just sucks out as much as they can without an actual acidic rinse cycle then the alkaline will attract soil. Your carpet will feel hard and crusty.
